At the Museo Nicolis the departure of the “Family Bike Trip” of Verona Garda Bike

A pedal ride to discover the wonders of the Verona-Garda area

The Museo Nicolis was the first stop for participants of the “Family Bike Trip,” a pedal ride organized by the ‘Verona Garda Bike’ business network. Participants also included influencer Giulia Morandini and photographer Stefano Aiti of the blog Baby On Board, Karen Pozzi, inluencer, journalist and testimonial for various sports brands, Mattia Bonamone, CEO and founder of REMOOVE, and Michela Toninel of Verona Garda Bike.
The experience started with an exciting Treasure Hunt” for families, one of the activities that the Museo Nicolis organizes specifically for children and families, so that visitors can interact directly with the exhibits. During this guided tour of the collections, the young riders had to sharpen their eyesight to find Museum gadgets hidden among its rooms. It was also an opportunity to admire hundreds of famous and unobtainable automobiles, motorcycles and bicycles, and thus learn about the evolution of means of transportation over the past two centuries.
The visit focused particularly on the history and evolution of the bicycle, to understand how this means of transport has conquered enthusiasts from all over the world. The Museum’s collection of bicycles, consisting of unique vintage models, starting with the “Draisina,” the ancestor of our bicycle made of wood and without pedals, moving on to the first models equipped with a large front wheel and fixed pedals, such as the Michaudine of 1856. The first stage ended with greetings and selfies together with Freccia, the Museo Nicolis mascot.
The participants then set off again to continue the tour by pedaling to Peschiera del Garda, on the “Celeste del Garda Bike Tour” bike route to discover the territory of the province of Verona in collaboration and with the support of REMOOVE.
