Peugeot, racing bicycle, 1898, France

Racing bicycle with a flat-circuit chain ring, black frame with red and golden finish. This bicycle was made by the big company in Valentigney, that had already been making steam vehicles for more than 10 years. It was also among the first companies that started producing vehicles with internal combustion engines. The first gasoline car registered in Italy was a Peugeot. The owner was a man called Rossi from Vicenza, owner of the “Lanerossi” yarn industries.
