Stefano Modena (Modena, 12 May 1963) is an Italian former Formula 1 racing driver.

Stefano Modena was a driver from Modena, of course, who managed to win many different motor racing categories, such as Kart, Formula 3 and Formula 3000. In the top tier he also achieved success, but he never managed to win a world title, much to his disappointment.

Volanti:

  • In 1989 the driver was part of the British team Brabham, with which he participated in the Formula 1 World Championship: thanks to an excellent third place at the Monaco Grand Prix he took home 6 points, which earned him 16th spot in the driver standings. The steering wheel fitted on that car down has reached us and we are pleased to show it off in our collection.

  • In 1992 the driver was part of the Irish team Jordan, with which he participated in the Formula 1 World Championship: the car he raced in, the Jordan 192, however, had serious reliability issues, in particular with overheating and speed. These setbacks meant the driver from Modena only managed to finish a race starting from the Belgian Grand Prix, the 12th round of 16. 6th place at the Australian Grand Prix allowed him to earn a championship point and take 17th spot in the driver standings. This steering wheel fitted on that troubled car down has reached us and we are pleased to show it off in our collection.
