The Museo Nicolis Award

Established in 2000, it was created to honor prominent figures in Veneto entrepreneurship who, with their work and vision, have significantly contributed to the country’s economic, social, and cultural growth. It is a public tribute to the businesses and entrepreneurs of this region, to the strength of their ideas and the courage to transform them into concrete projects; to their passion, dedication, and desire to leave a tangible mark with their work.
The Award recognizes those who have successfully navigated international markets while maintaining their roots, bringing the excellence of Italian know-how to the world and, at the same time, creating value in their own region.
It is a sign of admiration and esteem for those entrepreneurs who have made all of us, key players in the Veneto and national manufacturing landscape, a little more proud of our origins.
The winners are well-known and established figures at the helm of important industrial enterprises. The recognition also serves as a genuine tribute to their achievements and to the legacy—not only entrepreneurial, but also moral and ethical—passed on to future generations.

The Business Challenges Award

One of the Nicolis Museum’s distinctive features is its ability to combine tradition and innovation, preserving the memory of the past while always looking to the future. To provide a concrete demonstration of this duality, the “Business Challenges” award was established in 2008. It recognizes all businesses that interpret challenges as a driver of growth: companies and entrepreneurs who demonstrate courage, vision, and the ability to compete in contemporary markets, while simultaneously promoting the core values of our entrepreneurial fabric.
With this choice, the Museo Nicolis Award confirms itself not only as an event of great institutional importance, but also as a true bridge between tradition and future, between those who built the business of yesterday and those who are redefining it today:

  • Guardian of the great Venetian entrepreneurial tradition
  • Supporter of the challenges that fuel the business of tomorrow

The Prizes

The Awards take the form of two 925 silver sculptures created exclusively for the Nicolis Museum by Veronese master goldsmith and artist Cesare Soprana, a refined interpreter of tradition and modernity.
The Museo Nicolis Award evokes, with its essential lines, an architectural detail of the museum building. The red Verona marble base symbolizes deep roots, founding values, and openness to the future. The Business Challenges Award celebrates the museum’s connection to the local area through the Verona Arena, a symbol of culture and identity, an element that embraces and protects, and a detail of the Museum’s logo, an expression of the dialogue between memory and innovation.

The “Museo Nicolis Award” and the “Business Challenges” Award represent a strong signal of continuity and recognition: they celebrate those who have already left an indelible mark on industrial history and those who today support the challenges that fuel tomorrow’s business.
