His name is connected to <strong>McLaren<\/strong>, for which he raced from 1993 to 2001<strong> winning 20 Grand Prix<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the end of 90&#8217;s he became famous\u00a0for his sporting rivalry with Michael Schumacher. Indeed the German racing driver Schumacher claimed that\u00a0H\u00e4kkinen had been the rival he most respected in his Formula 1 career.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Steering Wheels<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Mika H\u00e4kkinen was the proud owner of this <strong>MOMO<\/strong> steering wheel in our collection and it was assembled on Lotus 102B. The two-time champion made his debut with the Lotus team, which in <strong>1991<\/strong> raced a <strong>car<\/strong> that was <strong>not up to the same level<\/strong> as that he would later handle with the British team. Nevertheless, the skilled Finnish driver managed to place <strong>5th<\/strong> at the San Marino Grand Prix, finishing in <strong>17th<\/strong> position in the driver standings. A debut that certainly did not go unnoticed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>1992<\/strong> saw the Scandinavian driver in a Lotus car, in which this <strong>MOMO<\/strong> steering wheel was assembled. Compared to the previous season, the car had a markedly <strong>improved performance<\/strong> and was, therefore, more competitive. This, together with his immense driving talent, allowed H\u00e4kkinen to achieve several championship points: a<strong> 6th place<\/strong> at the Mexican GP, a<strong> 4th<\/strong> at the French GP, a<strong> 6th<\/strong> at the British GP, a <strong>4th<\/strong> at the Hungarian GP, a <strong>6th<\/strong> at the Belgian GP and finally a <strong>4th place<\/strong> at the Portuguese GP. He finished in <strong>8th<\/strong> position in the year&#8217;s driver standings, an excellent result for a driver in only his second year in the top tier of racing.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mika H\u00e4kkinen was the proud owner of this <strong>PERSONAL<\/strong> steering wheel in our collection. 1993 saw the Scandinavian driver switch to <strong>McLaren<\/strong>, which did let him go for the next 8 years until he decided to draw his career at the top to an end. In <strong>1994<\/strong>, behind the wheel of the <strong>McLaren MP4\/8<\/strong>, the star claimed 4th place in the driver standings as a result of 6 podium finishes.
