{"id":42270,"date":"2018-02-28T15:53:46","date_gmt":"2018-02-28T14:53:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.museonicolis.com\/en\/thierry-boutsen-belgio\/"},"modified":"2020-08-06T14:05:29","modified_gmt":"2020-08-06T12:05:29","slug":"thierry-boutsen-belgio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.museonicolis.com\/en\/thierry-boutsen-belgio\/","title":{"rendered":"Boutsen Thierry  &#8211; BELGIUM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Thierry Boutsen<\/b>\u00a0(Bruxelles,\u00a013\u00a0July 1957) is a Belgian former racing driver,\u00a0<strong>winner<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>3 Grand Prix\u00a0<\/strong>of<strong>\u00a0Formula 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was considered a great test driver and capable to drive on wet track, Boutsen took part in 11 Championship and the best results he obtained was the 4th place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He debuted\u00a0 driving an Arrowin 1983, paying 500.000 dollars (he was a\u00a0<strong>paying racing driver<\/strong>) and in his career he drove for Arrows, Benetton and Williams.<\/p>\n<p><b>Steering Wheels<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">This PERSONAL steering wheel in the Nicolis Museum collection is a reminder of the <strong>1984<\/strong> Formula 1 World Championship, in which Belgian driver Thierry Boutsen first drove an<strong> Arrows A6<\/strong> and, from the Belgian Grand Prix onward, an <strong>Arrows A7<\/strong>. It is not known whether the steering wheel was fitted in the first or second car.
