FB Mondial 175 Corsa, 1956, Italy

FB was an Italian motorcycle manufacturer, active from 1929 to 1978. The acronym FB stands for Fratelli Boselli (Boselli Brothers), the founders of the company that after WWII will become FB Mondial eand later Mondial Moto.

The company invested a lot on races where important racing drivers rode Mondial bikes, such as Nello Pagani, Carlo Ubbiali, Walter Villa, Bruno Ruffo, Tarquinio Provini etc.
At the end of 1957 Mondial had already won 10 world titles.

The motorcycle of the Museo is a racing 175 "monoalbero" (single overhead cam), official attendant at the 1956 Giro d'Italia Motociclistico, the penultimate edition of the race.

Particularly noteworthy on the right side of the engine, closed inside a large aluminum cover, the gear-driven camshaft, a true gem for 50s engineering.
