Die ersten Motorr\u00e4der hatten merkw\u00fcrdige Besonderheiten, wie den Beifahrersitz am Tank vor dem Fahrer, der bald in seine klassische Position gebracht wurde.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1917<\/strong> mussten die Henderson-Br\u00fcder ihre Firma an <strong>Ignatz Schwinn<\/strong>, den Besitzer von Excelsior, verkaufen. Der <strong>Excelsior-Henderson<\/strong> Mitte der 1920er Jahre ist nach Indian und Harley-Davidson der dritte Motorradhersteller. Das Unternehmen wurde im September <strong>1931<\/strong> geschlossen und von der Weltwirtschaftskrise ersch\u00f6pft.
