The new 1100/103 saloon, introduced on the market in 1953, marks the turning point towards the modern in the FIAT production. This car had a considerable commercial success and, in 1955, also the Convertible version was presented, designed at the factory and fitted with the 50 bop engine.
The too advanced Convertible style turned out to be an obstacle to its commercial spreading, so in 1958 it was fitted with the new high-performance 1200 Granule engine.
The accuracy in the furnishing equipment is also showed by the possibility to make the seats turn so as to facilitate entering the car.
