60 years of Mini!

The 60th birthday of one of the most famous cars in the world at the Museo Nicolis.

August 26th, 1959: the masterpiece of Alec Issigonis is finally unveiled by British Motor Company, the Mini Minor 850. A brilliant 3-meter-long car with a front 848cc transversal engine, front wheel drive, four seats and two doors that revolutionized and influenced the concept of automobile for the years to come. From 1959 to 2000 they sold 5.505.874 Minis: a worldwide success. So much so that the car equally reached all the social classes.

60 years of history, trips and emotions celebrated at the Museo Nicolis with the 1966 Mini Minor. Among the famous people who owned the Mini we can mention the Beatles, David Bowie, Charlotte Rampling, Peter Sellers, Brigitte Bardot, Twiggy, and every one of them were fascinated by it.
