David Marshall Coulthard (Twynholm, 27 marzo 1971) is a British former racing driver and vice champion of Formula 1 in 2001.

After a brilliant career in minor races, in 1994 he debuted in Formula 1 and stay there till 2008. During his 15 year career he drove for Williams, McLaren and Red Bull, winning 13 Grand Prix.

Considered a good test driver but not one of the best, when he was racing for minor categories his drive style was very particular, because he was able to have a great acceleration at the end of the curve. But according to various reporters he was never able to express his qualities.

Steering  wheels:

  • This PERSONAL steering wheel in our collection belongs to the brilliant Scottish champion David Coulthard, who, back in 1994, made his top flight debut in a Williams FW16. 1994 would be a terrible year for Formula 1, as it witnessed the tragic deaths of Roland Ratzenberger and the great Ayrton Senna, who drove a Williams like Coulthard. The tragic accident involving the Brazilian driver paradoxically gave him the opportunity to move from tester to driver, starting from the Spanish Grand Prix. He finished the Championship on 14 points in the driver standings.
