“Anzani”, 1920

Blériot used a 2-cylinder V 80° starter with power boosted to 25CV on his plane for the first Channel Crossing.

Alessandro Anzani (Italy 1877 - 1956) made one of the first engines used for aviation in 1908, which was then fitted onto motorbikes and mopeds.
