1938 – BMW “R61”  – Germany

Produced from 1938 to 1941 in 13.000 pieces, the R61 stays basically unchanged during the production years.

The rear shock absorbers made the bike 9 kilos heavier and the speed is reduced compared to the previous bikes with rigid frames.
