Fongri, 1921, 5 1/2 Hp

Fongri “5 1/2 Hp” – 1921 – Italia

Fongri was born in Turin in 1910 from the Grignani brothers, motorbikes manufacturers, and Fontana. Fongri initially built single-cilinders side-valves JAP-powered motorcycles. At the end of 1921 the Grignani brothers sold the company to “Società Anonima Officine Meccaniche” from Ceriano Laghetto, while Eugenio Grignani, Fongri’s technician, stays in business as general director. The company kept producing bikes until 1930, when they decided to dedicate solely to production of mechanical pieces.
